A pissed off American

As an American, I feel that I need to post about what is going on in my country. Ok, first off, these bail outs need to stop. I am tired of political powers using the American people's tax dollars to go to companies who haven't done ANYTHING to save their own skins. CEOs and the like get MILLIONS if not BILLIONS in perks yet when they cry "we are going to go under.. and look at all the poor poor working people who will suffer".. I want to ask "what EXACTLY have you done to solve the problem??" They are MANIPULATING the American people and I say "Go under then!". Do I feel bad for the innocent workers who suffer if they are allowed to go under.. yes I am. But I am against using American workers as pawns to get BILLIONS of dollars in help that they will not see a CENT of.
It came out today that the banks that got BILLIONS will not tell the public where the money went. WHAT? That is OUR money you fuckers. We have a right to know where our money is going. And this bail out of the auto makers makes me sick. They can ship American jobs overseas (no offense to my overseas friends.. love ya!) and then cry to OUR government and OUR people to help. Well CEO's.. go ask China and Mexico for help because you have shipped THOUSANDS of jobs to those countries. And the "poor" auto parts makers they keep saying will suffer.. they are being shipped to Mexico ALL the time. Give me a break!
I understand other countries are also doing bail outs.. but they have oversight and I bet the people in those countrues KNOWS where their money is going. The US is going to collapse if it doesn't get its act together.. and this whole "Obama is going to save us" mantra... I don't think so. Both parties are throwing money at this companies like its candy.. and that will really be the end of this country.
However, on a positive note, I do think Obama has the right plans for getting out of Iraq, and alot of his foreign policies are what the world needs right now. This whole Republican mantra of "got problems.. send the military" needs to end. I think our military involvement got us into the mess we are in with the Muslim world now. If we would just get out and let the Muslim groups in the Middle East fight amongst themselves, we would be better off. Its it not the United States responsibility to get involved in every "conflict" in the world. Is that not what the UN is for??? Even though I have no faith in the UN to DO anything, (see the movie "Hotel Rwanda" for why I feel that way) it is not the US's responsbility.
Maybe I need to move elsewhere?
