La! Updating for the hell of it.

I've been swamped with work lately, and when I haven't been swamped, it's more of a case of my get up and go went off and left me. I have some time off coming up, so hopefully then I can catch up on all the great stories and drabbles everyone's posted and maybe get something written of my own. (I don't know, maybe I'm weird. Yeah, the hardest part for me on this whole healthy-weight loss-healthy kick was eating properly. I think it makes a whole lot of sense to drill this sort of thing into kids' heads when they're in middle school/high school so they at least know what they're getting into when they drink pop or have a King Sized candy bar.

But if you're looking for somewhat sweet cereals, I highly recommend that Cheerios multi-grain mix. It's kind of sweet, but I don't know if that's a sugar-induced sweetness or one of the types of grains in the mix. ^__^ But I'm a sucker for Cheerios in general. I loves them. Um, for portable healthy stuff... um, well, bananas are good. Granola bars? Ones that are more granola than uh, anything else? I like apples and pears too, but they're a bitch because I really really prefer them cut up to eating them whole and nowhere I've worked ('sides at home) has sharp enough implements. Cutting an apple with a butter knife? Not so much fun. Yogurt might be good, depending on how accessible your work fridge is during work hours, but again, I'm not really sure how much of that is sugar driven.

Also, I could never ever give up caffeine. They will be prying a coffee cup from my cold fingers when I die. :3

Pop is the hardest thing to give up. I'm still craving it. Particularly since I don't want milk right now and there's nothing else to drink in the house other than tap water. (Well, and I'm out of clean glasses...possibly this is the universe's way of telling me to do dishes? -_-;;)

Yogurt could work, but the prob is that I usually don't take sit down breaks. I have a tendency to munch while I'm doing other things at the counter. Yogurt is hard to munch on, but is tasty...*ponders*

XD Btwn you and Q and Aggy posting a story about coffee houses, I'm craving it liek whoa. I've had to force myself to drive past McDonalds and Tim Hortons so that i don't stop for an iced cappuccino because those are to die for delicious. I need to buy decaf when I go grocery shopping today.
