Yeah, knew there was a reason I disliked 6A so strongly "Our decision here was not based on pure legal issues. It was based on what community we want to build and what we think is appropriate within that community and what's not."

I really shouldn't be this angry while I'm trying to write an assignment that's due in tommorrow and is currently only half way done. To be honest, I can't remember ever being this angry at something fandom related before.

They obviously aren't listening/don't care what any of us ljers, paid or otherwise have to say. They don't even care enough to at least tell us what the fuck is going on, but feel free to talk to everyone else about it.
But all my friends are here. If I move elsewhere, I risk losing them, and as much as I hate these people for doing this, I love my friends more and want to be the same place that they are. But it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to be associated with a site that is that into censoring to this degree and that has no qualms about catering to right wing extremist groups like WFI.

I must admit, you called these guys way back when they came on the scene and I couldn't quite understand why. I should have listened to you more back then =).
I'm the same, there is no way I could leave LJ, sometimes it feels as though most of my social life is here (and now I sound pathetic. Not all of it, I swear!). To be honest, I don't think WFI really has anything to do with it all - they've tried in the past to get some seriously disturbing journals deleted from LJ (including one where someone graphically described molesting someone previously - not fiction, an actual rela life situation) and LJ refused to remove it. LJ may have used WFI as their scapegoat, but I think the right wing extremist beliefs they're catering to are their own.

What it boils down to, as far as I can tell, is advertisers. Which none of us wanted in the first place. That's how WFI got LJ to sit up and delete in the first place. She tried at first and got the same response that everyone else got for reporting stuff. Then, she took screen caps of ljs with questionable material next to advertiser ads and sent them to the advertisers. Then the LJ mass deletion happened.
Now, that's a big rumor, and I can't substantiate it, it's just what I've read in comments from both the article and from Lj news. But in light of the fact that LJ won't freaking make a statement, you have to wonder, you know. -_- After all, 6A is a business and money speaks louder than anything else, apparently.

Sometimes, you wish people would just mind their own damn business. -_-
I can understand LJ wanting to get rid of the pedophiles, and they really damn should, but the way they did it...O_O;; There's going to be fallout from this for a while.

And yeah, he doesn't seem to get that these communities were here long before he was. -_-

I won't say that I trust them again, but I'm willing to give them the opportunity to try to regain my trust.
