WIP-ness

Sep 02, 2005 22:08

1. I'm a hopeless WIP whore. I start stories, leave them alone for a couple of weeks...months...and then the interesting ones I'll come back to and play with.
2. If you don't like WIPs, you're really not going to want to click on the cuts. Just saying.

I like 'em all--how could I not? *You* wrote them!--but Truck and Riley is my favorite. I've fallen in love with the line " 'We’ll have some of Aunt Suzy’s famous three point one four'." It's absolutely fantastic, as is the rest of that one (not that the other two are bad--they're very far from it, and temple prostitutes? Only the coolest thing ever!), and I can't, as usual, wait for more. Actually, can't wait for more of all of 'em. But, as I know how you are about WIPs--and as I know how *I* am about WIPs--I can--and will--be patient. As long as you know I want more of them. *All* of them, including BWH!

*grin*

Anyhow, great job--you're a wonderful writer, you really are. Your characters are always very well-drawn; I feel as if I knew them IRL. Wonderful!

Thanks. *tackle glomps* I have to admit that the pie joke was probably pretty lame, but I liked using it all the same. XD Actually, Truck and Riley turned out better than I thought it would given how exhausted I was when typing it. O_o Go fig.

and temple prostitutes? Only the coolest thing ever!

*dies giggling* I feel like I should be quoting you somewhere. *laughs and huggles you* Actually, when I was googling them all I was stumbling across was ancient bible references and crackpots who were trying to figure out it god was smiting the whole temple for having prostitutes or if he was just smitting the male temple prostitutes. And at that point my belief that religous zealots are funny in their zealotness was confirmed. ^_^;;

But, as I know how you are about WIPs--and as I know how *I* am about WIPs

Speaking of yours, how is that one about the boyfriend whose partner died of AIDS coming? *looks curious*

You're welcome.

*gets tackle glomped*

Oh, the pie joke might've been lame--I don't know--but I adored it nonetheless!

I know how it goes being exhausted when typing something--yet, oddly enough, that's when some of the best stuff seems to happen, sometimes.

*shrug*

Go fig!

Quoting me somewhere, huh? Well, if you want to, feel free to go ahead, though I can't imagine why you'd want to. And yes, religious zealots can indeed be funny in their zealotness.

"how is that one about the boyfriend whose partner died of AIDS coming?"

*sigh*

Well, there's more attached to it than what I sent you--I think I'm up to page four, now, not including all the little scenes that have to be worked in somehow--but not as much as I'd like. So far they're in a hotel room, and Jason has just offended Daniel, who's dressed in nothing more than a towel and is still trying to leave the room anyway, and Jason's trying to stop him. So it's coming along okay, I suppose, if not as well as I'd like. Thanks for asking, though!

I LOVE THEM ALL.

I'm curious about the second one, actually. I must be in a fantasy kick again. O_o;

*tackle glomps you* Yay!

Actually, I'm thinking I might take either the Mayan one or the Sin one and attempt to make it my nano this year. (If for no other reason than that I'll actually get more written on one of them if I do that...>_>;;)

It's not that I don't like WIP's. I do read them, after all, and I love your writing and your characters to bits ^^. I just like to see more of the same, you know?

I'm glad BWH is on your list. I want to see what happens with Zack and Kyle (and everythng else) and Sin is one of my favorites. So whatever you write I'm happy with. Whatever you continue I am ecstatic with.

No, I know what you mean. I'm awful about abandoning stories and I have a bad tendency to post everything I'm stuck on--whether it has the potential to be finished or not. ^_^;; I'm definitely still working on BWH. It's in the back of my head all the time. It's just getting the characters to cooperate...-_- Plus, getting dimension world to not suck hardcore.

We’ll have some of Aunt Suzy’s famous three point one four

I am so dense. It took me like four times to get that line. I even had the thought "3.14... isn't that the first three digits in pi?" and still didn't get the joke. Dur.

“Ah, c’mon. It’s okay for you do mess with his mind because he’s your big brother. I think "do" is supposed to be "to".

And I so want to know what happens in the second one. I am a sucker for sci-fi/fantasy. It sucks me in... Also if you want to know anything about the Pleistocene or ancient Maya to add to your story, let me know. I happen to know something about both (as well as horse myths from my own google search for a story of mine because I collect facts like a magpie collects shinies).

I'm also pleased that I recognize the cast in the third one and cannot wait to see what's going to happen.

*dies laughing* And here I thought it was too obvious. ^_^ Thanks, that pretty much made my morning. XD

I think "do" is supposed to be "to".

*tackle glomps* Thanks! I spotted another typo under too, so I'm gonna go back and fix those...

Also if you want to know anything about the Pleistocene or ancient Maya to add to your story, let me know.

*must...resist...urge...to...pester...incessantly* ^__^ Actually, if you have any idea what kind of clothing Mayan men might have worn in ancient times, that would be super cool to know. ^_^ (If not, that's cool too...I'll just continue to make it all up. ^_^;;)

as well as horse myths from my own google search

*perks up* Ooh! Did you stumble across any real notable/interesting ones?

Thanks. :3

If I remember right the Mayan men generally wore a loincloth of some sort, a headdress (or beads in their hair) and cape thing sometimes. They also wore heavy necklaces, bracelets, and occasionally anklets.

As for the horse myths, I was mostly looking up the one about Poseidon so I could warp it for a story. I'd have to dig up my note for the others. ^^
