It had been a couple of weeks now since the move in and the solar flare, which had, unfortunately, shattered and ruined the majority of their things. Nearly every box had been on its way to their new rooms when magic had faltered, bringing them crashing down. It had taken some time to get everything back on track, replacing the things that couldn't be magically repaired while moving forward with out magic to unpack the remaining things.
Grimmauld Place was start to slowly feel like home as she put on the new personal touches to the updated house. It was still a little strange to her and every once in a while she found herself tiptoeing around, as if this wasn't her own home at all but just somewhere that she was visiting. She knew that this place was special to Harry, that this was the only place he ever really considered home, and she wanted to do right by that.
Still, she had a lot of time alone there. Reid hadn't been around very much and Harry had gone back to work right before their move in day. There were days she'd come home and wander around the house alone, getting familiar with each room and soaking it all in before finally settling in with her dinner in front of the television or in the library.
Which, of course, was why she was so surprised to see the light on inside of Reid's room on Thursday evening.
"Well, hello there, strange," she grinned, nudging the door open just enough so that she could lean against the frame.
"Did you forget that we live here now?"
