The week was passing far too quickly for Skylar's liking and before she knew it they had already been there nearly a week. Everything was absolutely perfect too, it felt like they were wrapped up in her own elaborate daydream, waking up to the sound of the ocean and falling asleep in each other's arms. For the first time in weeks Skylar was

He knew that next time, it'd be for even longer.
Maybe two weeks.
Hell, maybe a whole month.
It paid to see Skylar so refreshed, her nightmares seemingly gone, her sleeping far better than it had been in weeks.
He opened one eye, peering at her as he turned his head.
"You read my mind," he said, cracking a wide grin. He lifted himself up, placing his feet into the white sand, his toes curling as he pushed himself up. "Come on, Fawcett- maybe you can give me a few swimming lessons-"

"Let's see what I can do," she laughed, picking herself up, straightening out her mint colored string bikini, making sure that was actually covering what it was supposed to be (though that was very little).
"I can't have you drowning when I'm planning on leaving London behind all together for this beach."

"As long as you play lifeguard, I could live with it-" he told her cheekily, before pressing a light kiss to her lips. "Race you?"
But before he could wait for a response, he took off for the ocean.

Before she even had a chance to admire those newly tanned and very sculpted abs of his Harry was taking off.
Well, that wasn't very fair-
"Cheater!" she called, though any indication of annoyance was over shadowed by her laughter. Skylar kicked off, following him down the beach and into the ocean, knowing that losing was well worth the view of the way shorts were hugging his backside-

He was laughing as they came above the water, his arms wrapped around her narrow waist.

"You really do like to play dirty, Potter," she teased, steadying herself against the shallow ocean floor, careful not to step on any shells.
His usually unruly hair was matted completely down on his head and she laughed, moving to brush it from his forehead.

He shook his head, the water springing from his curls like he was a big wet dog. He laughed again, feeling the most light he had in a long time. Years, maybe. he tugged her close against him.
"Let's just not go home-"
Reply
"Never. Everything I need is here," she agreed, pressing her lips to his cheek. "Sun. Unlimited coconut water. You-"

"You-" he repeated, this time turning the word around. "It's like we're completely different here-" he said, catching her eye. "No distractions, nothing out of control-"
He liked that.

"This is the way we should always be," she told him, "When things get hard just think about this moment. Right now."

"This is the way we will always be-" he told her, catching her eye. "I promise. I wouldn't want us any other way."

"This is perfect," she agreed, tilting her head so that she could kiss him properly, lips pressed against his. He tasted sweet like the coconut water.
"You know, sometimes I think it's a dream- not just this week but all of it."

Sometimes he could really kick himself for letting everything get so out of control in the last year- letting his vices distract him from the important things. He'd let his work suffer, his friendships- and he'd nearly- almost bypassed Skylar completely.
But he'd never known a woman more intuiting than she was, as completely difficult and as incredibly wonderful as she was.

"Yeah- you and me," she repeated, chewing at her bottom lip. He just had a way of turning her whole world upside down.
"I never thought you'd ever look at me like that."
