May the people rejoice

For I can now afford my own gas instead of mooching off my parents to fill up my Alvin the Avalanche Truck.

You see, at its worst, it would cost me $165 to fill up my truck from empty. And it would last, oh, about 6-8 days, because I drive a LOT.

Now, gas is a beautiful $0.83 a litre. Which means that it only costs me about $90-$100 to fill up my truck.

Now, there was an even more wonderful time, about 4 years ago, where gas was $0.40 a litre. Took me only $60 to fill up my truck. And people complained how expensive that was. God, I miss those days.

It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.

In other news, this week away from riding/life has been good for me. I actually MISS my horse. I wrote 3 midterms, and if I didn't score an A on each and everyone of them I'd be shocked. My 2 hour exams I finished in 30 minutes because they were so bloody easy. I'm applying for a legal position in the Health Region (where I work as a secretary) The salery doesn't go up that much, but I'm thinking that the experience would be tremendous and would look really good, especially if I decided to later pursue law. (but upon calculation, if I want to actually be able to afford to move out, its actually cheaper for me to get a mortgage now...and I'll need about 40k a year, which I imagine works out to be about $30 an hour or so, so another $10 an hour to go, minimally :P)

stuff that i refuse to quantify, this thing called life
