New barns, means a new tack trunk?
So, I don't think I've ever taken pictures of my tack trunk, but it was custom built by my neighbor. It's beautiful. It has room for two saddles, all my boots and saddle pads, its highly polished wood and is just perfect.
However, it's a MONSTER. It's about 6ft tall, 5ft in length and 4ft in width. It must weigh in close to 250lbs.
No way will it fit in the new barn. They are giving us 3 tack stalls for around 14 boarders, which is generous...however, my box would easily take up at least 3/4 of one side of the stall LOL
I'm trying to slowly breach the idea to my neighbor that I need a new tack box, and surely he wants to take on another project? Soon?
So I'm looking at maybe nudging him towards looking at plans of this one. It's 57" high, but more importantly, its a lot less wide and has a lot less depth than mine, and still looks like it could fit the majority of what I need...
(best of all, he's such a sweetheart that he only charges me for materials. And Starbucks coffee LOL)
