Very largescale expedition to the grocery store today with my 'harem' -- sorry, guys, but you coined it first! There's nothing more amusing than walking into a store with three men and having many 'mature' people staaare. Long and short ended us up back at the apartment and dining on take-out while we watched a movie.
Juno, to be precise.
For the movie I was expecting to be darker and dreary, there was a wonderful mixture of comedy and emotion. The portrayal of pregnancy was made distant, yes, but witnessing some of the very real moments in there, amidst the sarcasm, made them very potent. For people who were surprised to enjoy Little Miss Sunshine, I would recommend Juno. It had a similar flavour, but managed to be totally unique. ♥
That whole movie kind of reminded me that being with someone is not about being with them all the time. And, y'know, I figure I've been way less clinging this time 'round, but it's always nice to have those reminders that this? Not that odd or abnormal for actual life, just makes it a little more precious.
