花のみぞ知る MOOD
It's such a long time! I know, I know, I start a plethora of things and I finish almost none, but... I can't solve it, for now. I'm a terrible person. However, there's a cute thing back with me: a mood. I MADE A MOOD! Incredible. I never believed to be able to do such a hard thing. I mean, it takes a lot of time, patience, effort. See? When I'm determined I'm able to achieve something. It maybe means that I'm not resolute enough about most of the things I do? Uhm... I'll think about it. Now, the mood. I made it on my new lovely obsession: 花のみぞ知る (Only the Flower Knows) from 宝井理人 (Takarai Rihito), which I highly recommend. I mean, just by the fact that in a, relatively, short manga (3 volumes) there's such a plethora of emotions that I wasn't able to put all in the mood. And there're a whopping 132 moods in a lj mood! I'm so in love with this manga: it's so delicate, and passionate at the same time. It has something ethereal and still it feels so vivid, real. I'm pretty sure it's the first time that I perceived a comic so physically! I've blushed so often while reading it, and my heart still beat so fast during some parts, and my whole body burns, and I feel the warm fuzzies...! Please, give it a chance.
P.S. There's a small problem. The English translation is often crappy. Well, probably it's because it went trough many difficulties, due to the fact that it's licensed, and it hasn't been translated by a scanlations group but by several merciful people: I'm grateful to them, but it can't be denied that almost the whole translation is full of mistakes and hardly intelligible in some parts. So I suggest:
1. to purchase the licensed version (but it's still stuck at the first volume),
2. to read it in Japanese, if you understand it. The content could be hard to elaborate but the form it's really fluid and accurate. Be brave, try this option!
