Showers and Such
last night was Skyler's baby shower. He also had a Dr's exam earlier in the day.
First things first; the doctor says "hard to be sure at this point, but no LESS than 4 c dialated and 80% effaced. 72 hours at the longest." That was 24 hours ago, so...baby in the next 48 hours? Considereing that after a totaly exausting day yesterday, Skyler was awake by 6:30 this morning, full of energy, I'm pretty sure that 48 hours is pushing it.
The shower was...fripping huge. I've never had so many people in my house at one time. People even ended up parking at the daycare down the block. We played stupid shower games, people laughed and ate the BEAUTIFUL cake that Publix made (With a daddy and a baby seahorse in a lovely ocean scene), and then we opened the mountain of swag. And mountain in was. The kids are so well set.
Donna, especial thanks to you for the beautiful kite quilt. I ahve a picture of Skyler and James holding it up, and I'll get that posted soon. It turned out so wonderful! I can't believe you made that for my Skye, much less that you did it in somthing like 30 minutes. Wow!
