I feel like an old lady...

Hello to all my loyal readers (there are like two of you, right?)

So, here I am on break, week 1. I had my eye surgery on Thursday, and that went pretty well. I haven't had much problems, except I did have a black eye and I get head aches if I am reading/online or looking at something close for too long. But overall I am doing well with that! Anddddddddd it's my birthday in eight days! Very very good! And it is snowing non-stop and my mom and binky will be coming home from school early! Yeay! I want to go sledding!

Yesterday was such a lovely day! Well, I was invited as a VIP guest to the annual Make-A-Wish, black-tie gala on Saturday! This is no cheap deal, tickets to thins gala cost several hundred dollars each! And I am going with my mom and dad for free because I am there to represent Make-A-Wish! So, my mother and I went shopping yesterday! There is this dress by Vera Wang that I am in love with, and there is only one store in the Capital Region that carries Vera Wang, so we went over there. Well, I didn't find that dress but I found two really pretty ones that I had to choose between. One was this dark pink, chic, layered dress with a ribbon around the waist, strapless. The other is this light pink/cream colored that kinda flares out at the bottom with a flower at the waist and a kinda rippled effect going on, and strapless. So beautiful, both of them! So, I ended up deciding on the first because it is an evening affair and the darker color looks better with my complexion. So that worked out wonderful and I felt like a princess as my mother and two other women were adjusting and pinning it for me. Then, it turns out the dress was miss-marked to half its price! The woman writing up the receipt said to us "This is supposed to be twice the price, but I'm not going to say anything! You are getting a deal!" So that was wonderful! After that we went to Macy's and got some flashy jewelry for me. Then we went to look for a dress for my mom (because she didn't find one at the first store) and she tried on a whole bunch and ended up choosing this very Spanish-inspired dress, a style which always looks really good on her. Then we went shoe shopping! It was a wonderful evening! I can't wait for Saturday.

Although that part of the evening was lovely, there was one part that was... interesting. Dan called me. Seems he found out I was home because my sister told his sister. Eh. It sounded like there was no one else around and he was desperately bored. He asked me to go out to eat sometime, but I declined saying my eye needed to heal. I feel a little bad, but not really. I have no interest in spending time with him. Blaine was bothered when I told him. Hmmm. I am just not interested in maintaining a friendship.

Hmmm, has anything else happened in my life? Probably not, well at least not that I can think of at the moment. Although I will say I am worried about Adam. I hope he isn't too upset (although I know he is sad...). Well, anyway. I worry. Well, I suppose this is it for now.

The end.
