It was like a scene out of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds over here this morning. I was sitting there thinking It's a lot louder than usual... Then I proceeded to look outside and discover why. We don't have bird seed or anything, so it wasn't that. And I've been living in this new house for a year now and have NEVER seen anything like that. I don't know what it was all about, but it entertained me for a little while. I was sorely tempted to let Willy out and let him have some fun, but I figured I'd never catch him because he'd lose his mind and bolt, perhaps even try to fly. Plus I was scared to step foot out there for fear I'd have to take a shower again and use my special shampoo to get the poop out of my hair.
Chris and I also decided to take a little drive on down the road (pictures to the right) to see if it was all as scary and horrifying as the news and weather people were making it out to seem. Well, the roads by midday (which was when we left) were fine, but there was definitely ice still on the trees and powerlines. *WHEW* Pardon moi while I wipe the sweat from my brow of having accidentally closed the program without having remembered if this entry had been saved thus far or not. Not that it's been such a fantabulous piece of art, but still... But no it wasn't gone. H'okay... ANYWAY -- we drove around for about an hour and saw a few downed trees, some iced over powerlines, the usual. But it was pretty. And I don't get to see much winter weather like this anymore since coming down here four years ago so bare with me please. All I know is this shit better not be going on Sunday when we fly out for Florida. We've been planning this cruise for almost a year now...
*yawn* I just got kinda sleepy for some reason, think I'll finish watchin' The Devil Wears Prada and lay down for a little bit here. Must be the weather.
I want this damn sticker... in actual sticker form.
