It's the end of the term so things are krazier than usual. The boys (yes, all three) are having a Nerf gun battle in the living room/dining room while Marcus cleans up after the brunch I made - pancakes and fried ham. I am taking a break from my Finance homework. I love that class and would make Finance my business major focus if only it did not add a term to my undergrad experience.
It's gorgeous today. There is fresh laundry on the line and we have the dining room doors open for the breeze and fresh air. We are hoping that Home Depot sells organic veggie plants on site (the do online) so that we can pick up a bunch of tomatoes and perhaps a cuke and red pepper? We will only be able to get one box installed this year and it won't be ready for planting until this fall. So, anything we buy now will have to live on the deck.
In other news, we went to our beloved International market yesterday and bought all sorts of organic veggies, fruits, meats (humane too!), breads and pantry goods. Chaz asked to be able to pick out an assortment of bamboo cooking utensils and a bamboo cutting board for his birthday. Since I have been concentrating on gifting him cooking supplies/equipment of late, it seemed a good plan. The Easter Bunny even put his candy in a cast iron enamel pot last week instead of in his basket :-) It's a 6qt Lodge and is a gorgeous medium blue...
