Technically you didn't put a question mark at the end of this question but I'll answer you anyway. No, 'cause nothing is "meant to be" you Calvinist in waiting. Your life is yours. Bend it to your will. Besides you're not old. You're only one year older than me and if you're old that means I'm gonna be old soon and I'm not ready for that yet. ^_^ You are not alone. I tell you what I told Katy in reference to a stupid get well thing I own. Friends are not flowers in the garden of life. Flowers wilt and fade. Real friends are weeds. We may not be pretty, but we are always there whether you like it or not. And we always come back.

Finally, don't insult the shadows. Shadows do know hopes and joys, just ask the ninjas. I also think its rather painful to be slowly driven back and eaten by the light of the sun - look at how vampires react. And even if it is a fleeting existence, it is existence and you should not trivialize it.
