photo ] JaeMin squabbling. JaeJoong wakes up in the middle of the night to discover a most unacceptable predicament.
Perhaps it was the call of the cosmos - no, not nature - that prompted Kim JaeJoong to interrupt his peaceful slumber and make his way out of the bedroom to the kitchen, because the moment he set foot in his favorite spot of the house, he heard the incoherent whispering between two suspicious beings.
“Noona, what are we- ?”
“Shh, not too loud!”
“Hyung’s going to freak out the moment he finds out…”
“We’ll keep this a secret, Minnie… just hush down…”
JaeJoong’s hand flew to the switch, but he decided against turning the lights on just yet. He needed to know what exactly was going on, even though the sinking feeling he had in his stomach was telling him that 1) he’s being cheated on; 2) he’s being cheated on with ChangMin, and; 3) he’s being cheated on with ChangMin in - of all places - the kitchen!
“What are we going to do now?” ChangMin’s raspy, 3-in-the-morning voice scratched through the silence.
“Just stay still… I’ll take care of it…”
Porc, how could you do this to me? I loved you… JaeJoong’s fists clenched in anger. He wanted to dive at the back of the kitchen counter (where the voices were coming from) and just knock ChangMin’s head (and his evil, treacherous brain) off, but shock had nailed his feet on the floor.
“Owww, noona… you scratched me!”
“I’m sorry, oh God… it’s pretty difficult without the lights on…”
“Please be careful…”
JaeJoong listened to the calculated scraping, huffing sounds and felt like throwing up. Taking a step back, he thought of just going back to bed and pretending nothing happened. He dragged his right foot away…
“Okay, move a little, Minnie… I’ll clean this up.”
The lump in JaeJoong’s throat burned and rose, bringing tears to his eyes. He’s heard enough, and he’s not about to pretend otherwise. Pounding his fist on the light switch, he yelled, “SHIM CHANGMIN, YOU BASTARD!!! HOW COULD YOU???”
There was a loud gasp, and a paragraph’s worth of silence. JaeJoong watched as the two culprits revealed themselves from behind the kitchen counter.
“H-hyung…” ChangMin began, his face white and his voice trembling, “…I didn’t mean to do it.”
“JaeJoong-ah… it’s my fault,” Porc said, head hanging low. “If I hadn’t-”
JaeJoong cut in, “If you hadn’t what? Seduced him? Forced him? Am I not good enough for you, huh? I gave EVERYTHING to you!”
ChangMin and Porc exchanged puzzled looks. Something wasn’t quite right.
“And you!” JaeJoong pointed to ChangMin, “I treated you like a brother! And this is how you repay me? Have you no shame?”
“Hyung…”
“I don’t need your explanations!” JaeJoong shouted, his face red with fury. As he turned to storm out of the room, Porc shouted something that didn’t quite sink in.
“We’ll find something to replace it!”
JaeJoong froze in his steps and turned to look at her, “What?”
“Your Pyrex dish…” ChangMin started, “I broke it.”
“WHAT??? Which one?”
ChangMin winced, “The brown one… the one you just used to bake the spaghetti…”
“I walked in on him trying to get a snack,” Porc explained, as the remaining tinge of color on JaeJoong’s face started to evaporate. “He got startled and dropped everything.”
“We thought of just cleaning up and… you know… hiding everything. I’m sorry hyung.”
Porc hid behind ChangMin at the sight of JaeJoong’s jaw tightening. ChangMin stepped back, “Hyung…”
“THAT - was my favorite PYREX DISH, you moron!!!” JaeJoong threw himself at ChangMin, who fell backwards and toppled Porc over. All at once, the three of them were on the floor, together with remnants of the broken dish (safely swept into a dustpan), some tomato sauce, ground pork and strands of spaghetti. ChangMin choked under JaeJoong’s arms, while Porc struggled to break free, screaming and tugging ChangMin away with her as well.
“JaeJoong, stop it!!!” Porc shrieked, horrified at the sight of ChangMin’s white shirt looking bloodied (It’s just the spaghetti sauce). “Stop!!!”
“Hyu-ng!”
“Stupid - bottomless - pit!”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
At seven in the morning, YooChun, YunHo and JunSu discovered the bodies of JaeJoong, ChangMin and Porc swimming in JaeJoong’s spaghetti sauce recipe. Although all three were found unconscious, the three ruled out food poisoning as the cause after finding evidence of a broken Pyrex dish in the scene. After an hour-and-a-half long negotiation over bowls of YooChun’s Fruit Loops, both parties agreed to an amicable settlement, in which ChangMin and Porc are to replace the broken Pyrex dish, and JaeJoong is requested to give ChangMin and Porc massage services as payment for physical damages incurred.
