where do you get your J-food from? Do you walk all the way in to Tasuke, fork over lotsa money for yummy Iori, or do you just amble over to the korean-owned Izumi's "japanese" bulgogi bento?
A few years ago, I actually read half the book, but had to stop because it was too much for me. It is one of the most sickening books I've ever read, and also one the funniest. I thought I'd have another crack at reading it. It's still sick, but it has other elements which I can now appreciate a little more. We'll see. Why do you ask?
I read the book probably 12 years ago, and I remember it being one of the most disturbing things that I had ever read. Whilst reading it I was torn between wanting to throw it in the bin and a disgusting fascination that kept me turning the pages. To this day, I couldn't honestly tell you if I liked or hated that book. Just curious what you thought as it does arouse such strong emotions.
