getting "caught up" in the real world isn't necessarily a bad thing the issue is to what degree you change or you allow it to change you; how much of it is natural and how much isn't.
I myself get caught up in it pretty bad where some if not most of the changes were not to my liking. I then had to have that face to face moment where you say "i need to make a positive change in my life." After that happened i quit my job and moved on down the road. Some of the other necessary changes haven't been so easy in coming but I'm still working on it...
if i were you skye, i wouldn;t worry about it too much for 2 reasons: 1. I doubt highly that Aldi has the sort of company culture that involves the suck you in, play with your mind, make you feel superior to others, get ahead, it's all about the dollar, sort of ideals that really fucks with people. and
2. from a moral standpoint you've always been a rock and that's somethin g to be proud of now that we're out of our retarded juvenile "it's cool to see just how vile you can get" age. brad and I were trying to describe you to our friend scott recently (we were telling some story from High School- brad does a lot of that) and the phrase "genuinely high quality person" came up several times as a reference.
