(no subject)
so last night was my first "show." meaning this is the first show i was given to book all the bands for the venue. it was a monday night, which is hard to work with. and i am pleased to say that 88 PEOPLE CAME!!!!!! this is great for a monday night. the bands didn't suck (well one of them did) and the band that was touring was AWESOME.
the venue owner came up to me and was congratulating me. he is one of the best guys i've ever met.
anyway, so i work full time now at the venue.
this means i work in the office 4 days a week doing media listings (announcing our upcoming shows) for all the newspapers and magazines, building ads for magazines, ticket sales, booking, and listening to demos. then i do production work at night which is the most fun cause i get to meet every band that comes through. (cute, talented guys or smelly touring guys)
don (the much older guy I am seeing) and i sort of had "the talk." so neither of us have fucked someone since we started having sex which is sort of a relief but he said he doesn't really want to ruin our friendship by us having a "break up" sometime. BUT he also doesn't want me to kiss anyone else.
i stopped him right there and said i don't want to have this talk.
the thing is, he is fucking PERFECT. he has never been shady. he runs a rock magazine. he is fucking brilliant. a great writer. obviously great taste in music. cute. good in bed. funny. i love talking to him. etc etc.
BUT i decided since we aren't technically TOGETHER i am going to go ahead and make out with other boys.
yeah, i am going to fuck it up probably. but if he's not my boyfriend what can i say?
its summer. i'm young. and i'm having fun.
on a side note: Man Man is playing at my work tomorrow. they are fucking awesome. http://www.myspace.com/wearemanman the first song is awesome and their new album is so good.
