every once in a while I have to just do a list - to remind myself I get things done every once in a while. So here's the list of things I got done this weekend.
- cleaned the vacuum cleaner. It was gross. I have use of a shop vac right now, and everything gets sucked into what's essentially a 3 gallon bucket. I opened up that bucket yesterday and had to empty it into a plastic bag and then spend 10 minutes trying to dig extra caked on dust out of the filter. Ugh.
- swept up the garage. Also gross. This is where the cat litter boxes are, and litter gets kicked out all the time. About 4 or 5 times a year, it gets gross enough that even I notice. Then I dig out the yucky broom (as opposed to the nice indoor brooms) and do a sweep.
- washed everything in the sink, and then scrubbed down the sink. I have a dishwasher, which apparently means I no longer have any ability to handwash items. So when I use the juicer or one of the good knives or one of the weird cutting boards, it means they sit in the sink, dirty, until I am so horrified (or the sink is full, or 2 weeks have passed, or I need that thing again) that I do a wash.
- did laundry. No comment - this happens almost every week and was not particularly gross. I never run out of clothes and I never have to do more than 2 loads.
- exposed the kitchen counter. I have a counter. I also have two bar stools I unburied. I might be able to have one or two people over for breakfast. Or something. I bought a cloth table runner last weekend - it's a little short and a little wide, but I still put it on the counter anyway.
