Feathers are cuddly!

Okay. I'm in love with the baby George. He spent over an hour snuggled against my neck to sleep tonight. We got him a 'sleeping hood' today since he likes to be snuggled in to sleep. I went to check on him... and it's not in the best place since we weren't sure about it, so he's on a perch... but with the top half of his body in this fuzzy yellow hut thing that's suspended from the top of the cage (which stands higher than me). He's still George the Mighty though. It requires two people to give him his medicine, not because he's mean, but because those tiny wings are strong! Plus he gives me kisses. :D

He's started taunting the dogs now. When they go outside he yells to be let out and hangs upside down from the door of the cage. Every time he makes a sound Dozer and Loki come running. It's turning into a game already. We're just going to hope it stays a safe one.

At work, the boy I called Oddball a few entries ago has been diagnosed with autism, as I suspected. He's doing... okay. Though he needs a LOT of special attention. In the next couple of months the 2 year old class is going to get an influx of new children, and I'm afraid he's going to get a little lost in the crowd. I hope not... but it's a possibility. The little girl who had lice no longer attends my center because her family ran out of time. The state (with a lot of paperwork) gives one year free child care to help some families get one their feet and such. She ran out.

We're going to make picture books of every child in my class for christmas presents this year. Means more work for me and my co-teacher but their going to be damn good gifts. Already started taking pictures of the children.

I should be in bed. I guess I tell you about my classes next time.
