Writer's Block: Passing Time
I like to doodle in the margins of my notebooks. Usually, I try and really focus on the teacher so I don't miss anything important in the lectures. At least I am fully aware of this bad habit. The only time it was hard to stop doodling in almost every lecture was a French class I took fall semester of my senior year. It was on Francophone literature from Africa and the Caribbean. I don't know what it was about the professor, but I had a really hard time staying awake and alert in his classes. Granted, I wasn't getting a full night's sleep each night, but when I did the class was still hard to get through. It was disappointing for me because I was really interested in learning about, reading, and discussing Francophone literature.
