Obviously, I've been AWOL for the past... couple weeks? Basically I was just spectacularly fed up of people and needed a break. ^^;
I'm finally back though, because this is just something I have to post. So you know those rumours I was talking about that Rise-chan was getting married? Well, it's true. So far, a couple of douki blogs have posted photos and one talked about it. I think it was just yesterday (the 11th) though, so I'm hoping more will show up soon.
First there is
Momomi, in which there is an adorable pair of wedding bears, a ring pillow that Rise's mother made ♥, and a group shot (bigger shot please~ :P). ♥♥♥ I have to say, she has good taste. *laugh* And I'm guessing the two with hearts over their faces are Fumika and Juria. :3
Then there is
Tonton. This is the photo I woke up to. ♥♥♥ And such a big photo. ♥ I love love love that it's not a traditional wedding dress. And....that it has sequins all over it. *sporfle* Rise, I love you. X3 And her hair! Look at her hair!
This photo... it just... it makes me want to squee and flail and bounce around and laugh. She's so gorgeous and looks amazing as a girl and.... looks taller than her groom in that group photo. *laugh* Why can't there be an address for me send a card to?? RISE~! ♥♥♥
After waiting so long for news, it feels like I've finally hit paydirt. X3 (...have I ever mentioned that I love that her douki call her Akane? XD)
Also, after having watched
this,
this, and
this, I have determined that Eritan is an amazing Jackie. ♥ If you haven't yet, you have to watch the last two, they're hilarious. XD Why, oh why, isn't she Jackie on the DVD. ;_; Now, *cracks whip at Nico uploaders*, more videos! *laugh*
So, I think a couple of you know about this, but I've applied for the MEXT scholarship, which would allow me to spend my undergraduate years in Japan + one year for preperation (getting Japanese level up and various other courses). In total, 7 years. Fully paid for. In case it's not obvious, that would be a dream come true and would be absolutely perfect.
...and I have an interview on the 20th. They probably admit most people through to that step, but still, it's exciting and terrifying. I really don't want to screw this up. *worries*
Not only that, but I also have to take five tests: English, Japanese, Math, Bio, and Chem. @_@ Cue even more worrying. I'm not sure how much weight they'll have in whether I'm accepted or not though. Like, I know the Japanese one is more of a scale to see the various levels they have, so maybe the others are as well? The Bio, Chem, and Math tests definitely have some university level questions, which is why I'm not sure. They're so hard though......
Oh well, I'll just have to hope for the best and hope I can cram in some learning. *worrrrrieeesssss*
Also, I've finally started a real Japanese course. It involves going an hour downtown but oh well, there's no classes out here, so it's worth it. And I'm all excited, because I originally registered for the beginner course, but upon talking to the teacher, that was going to be way to easy, so I got to skip to the intermediate course. Which is much yay, considering everything I've learned as been on my own really. X3 It's challenging, but I figure that's a good thing, right?
...and one of the girls is a fan of Morning Musume and actually knew was Zuka is (though she's not a fan ^^;).
I also asked sensei about the Japanese test I'll have to take and she was really awesome and actually contacted the embassy to find out what level it was. She let me borrow a book that is meant for preparing for the level 3 JLPT's, as well as a bunch of level 3's from previous years. ....it excited me to no end that I can actually get a good percentage of the questions right. Reading in particular is apparently my strong point, since I only missed one. *g*
It's always nice to know I'm not overestimating my level. :D
Anyway, that is it. In conclusion, I'm not dead, I promise.
