Way back in February, I helped one of my professors move to a new house. She had stacks of books in a shed in her old one, and unfortunately they'd gotten mildewed, so she couldn't keep them anymore for fear of allergies. To avoid destroying them, I graciously offered to take care of a few choice titles for the rest of their lives, and today, I finished picking them up. I am very excited.

I've also been loving this weather we're having these days, which is all sun and heat. Fortunately, not too many people have AC here, so I'm not getting blasted with it all the time and can enjoy it instead. I am hoping it will stay this warm for ages and ages before heating up to a proper summer, but unfortunately, tomorrow it's supposed to drop back into the high teens again.

Moving has kept me very preoccupied these days too. A couple days ago I started moving a carload of things to my new apartment, and the big move is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, the day after a friend's masters recital on the harpsichord, which will probably segue into a party lasting a while that night, or at the very least drinks and such. No matter, it will be fun, I am sure, and I always look forward to hearing him play ever since I stopped living with him. It's almost scary, but I find myself missing his tinkering on instruments while I am doing my schoolwork, and have half a mind to grab a tape of him just practicing or something to listen to while I get my work done.
