Workout Journal, Day 36

Starting the 6th week of my workout, and boy is it feeling good.  I'm feeling more fit on my runs, and significantly stronger on my lifting.  I seem to be making a lot more progress in some areas of lifting than others; my back exercises (cable row and lat pulldown) haven't seen too much in the way of gains the way my chest, shoulder, and bicep (and to a lesser extent tricep) exercises have.

To give you some idea of the progress I've made for chest exercises, let me remind you of the plan for each muscle group: 12, 10, 8, 6, 12, 12, increasing weight as possible for the first 4, lowering it for the last one, and a different exercise for the final.  For the bench press, I am now lifting 20 pounds more in that final 12 on days that it's my secondary exercise than I was able to lift for any of the sets when I started.
