I cried, but still BAD ASS. IKR. Also I haven't rode a bike in donkey's years so once again raising the bad ass bar higher and higher.

And even though I HATE HATE HATE people reading my stuff, I told my favourite person ever
neonntiger (BECAUSE ILH) and my new BFF
therebeldiamond that I would post this mini thing I wrote on The Killers at 3am while watching a documentary on David Bowie.
Did I mention I wrote it in the memo section of my black berry. I am no good at writing but I am my own worst critic. No where close to the type of writing
deadbeatdancer creates.
Arg here it is:
Slipnot, 50 cent, The Pussy Cat Dolls, those are the so called influences of today's generation. Bands that will scream into the microphone till their voices break just to make teenagers even more anguished and depressed then what hormones has already bestowed on them. Male artists who will walk around with no shirts and 'sing' about smoking pot or drinking just for "street cred" and female artists showing off their TNA for shock value. It's sad how low music has sank to become a media prostitute; trading in their values and talent for fame and fortune.
There is still hope, a shining beakcon of light called The Killers. Four all American men who grew up listening to artists like Oasis, Queen, David Bowie, and Pink Floyd. The bands that inspired them for utter greatness. All born with the classic moxie to revolutionize Rock and Roll, and to bring it back to the new generation.
It's not a surprise that parents actually approve of their children listening to them. In comparison to the vulgar, hateful garbage that is on North American radios today, The Killers are a saving Grace.
Back in the golden years of Elvis' promiscuous hips, rock was considered a sin yet a religion all in the same vacancy. Adults shying away from it like it was poison while their wild rapscallion children gyrated their hips to it. How far rock has come. Back in 62' when bands like The Stones first arrived on the airwaves it was all about obeying the 3 golden rules, sex, drugs, and rock and roll and once again parents still judging it like it was Lucifer singing himself. Now those "wild" children are our parents and have to tolerate their children 'wild' music and the style that comes as an added bonus preying something of their music caliber would come along, and that's where The Killers come in. A band that can make you express feelings, a band that can make you forget about all your problems, a band that can make you become a totally different alias then the one you portray in every day living, and a band that can actually tell a story through their god given gifts.
The odd twist about it is, they have good moral values. All raised by families who didn't have alot of money but love to spare, and that shines through as they mature into adults, so they go hand in hand with rock and roll and good roll models.
The Killers are following in the footsteps of their 60's and 70's brotherin bands but what they learned from their generation (The 80's) is how to take chances, and I think that's why so many young fans are so turned on by them. They keep it fresh and exciting, they stay true to themselves and make music they'd like to hear and not just the crowd pleasers. I guess that also falls under the category of the 70's. Lets not forget their ever changing style from pastel suits and guyliner, to rough Americano, to their latest "Jungle chic" The Killers are bringing back the way musicians like David Bowie used to turn heads, creating ever changing characters to go along with their albums, and for that I salute.
Todays music has lost all meaning because in the end it all comes out the same tune. There is no mystery to it anymore, unless your name is The Killers. From songs like "All these things that i've done" to "Human" where it leaves people on the edge of their seats gasping for the meaningjust as people did with "Bohemain Rhapsody" but deep down people don't really want to know the answer, for it takes away their own special meaning to the song, another thing Rock music has lost in these passing years. If you already figured out the song why go back and listen to it again? people want keep searching because the journey is much more enjoyable then the find, and once again I thank The Killers for bringing that back to Rock society.
Brandon Flowers, David Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr., and Mark Stoermer, just might be the 4 heroes to todays Rock and Roll.
The Killers, a band all generations can enjoy.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
That is all.
