Running for Office xkcd style
I only just saw this today. Looks like it's been up for a long time, but since I hadn't seen or heard of it before, maybe it's not too st@le of me to mention it.
It's a real candidate running in Kansas. Here's an xkcd-style (his own terming) comic explaining his reason for running. The LA Times apparently picked up the story before the Kansas star did, and checked all the sources making sure it was legit.
I wonder what state his campaign would've been most effective in. I'm sure a lot of the donors are dorks not in his district who cannot actually end up voting for him.
