I taught my first university level lighting design class! W00t! I'm so relieved its over, but I actually loved every second of it and I kinda wish I were their actual professor. At first I had NO idea how I was going to fill 3 hours of just me talking; in a panic, I even ran to Gundacker for help laying everything out teacher style. Love that girl btw. She spoils me, hehe!!
In the end tho, I realized, ha! I love lighting, and I especially love talking about lighting; I could have probably spoke for another 10 hours about lights and still had more to say.
Overall, I think I REACHED THESE KIDS! Aside from the bored looking (really hot) girl in the back of the room, and the girl who was obviously trying to finish the assignment that was due today, everyone looked really interested... and it was odd cuz they even took notes on EVERYTHING I said, like I was going to quiz them on it or something, which I am really really not used to. Oh! And, after the class, a few students even asked me for my phone number so that they can discuss more about lighting with me!! AND I think I even converted 2 interior design students to future lighting designers! Yay!
So yeah, I want more college students, they are a little better then Middleschoolers.
