In the Beginning

...there was emptiness. At least till I can figure out how this damn thing works.

Hmm, I guess a little about myself is in order. Which would you like first?? The interesting?? Or perhaps the downright boring.

Interesting: I'm a skydiver. People tend to find that interesting. Along the lines of a car wreck, a natural disaster, or an endless facination with a serial killer. There's a certain morbidity that everyone is attracted to, and that is the chance that one day, the planet Earth might decide to do a hit and run on me. Heck, I'm not only a skydiver, I'm one of THE skydivers. Thousands of jumps, high competition experience, and on the board of directors for the U.S. Parachute Association. Along the same lines, I used to be a correctional officer here in Texas. To the laymen out there, that would be a "prison guard".

Boring: At heart though, I'm about as interesting as watching paint dry. I'm married to a wonderful, beautiful woman...who must be somewhat deranged to find a fat nosed East Texas redneck like me anything to look at. We have a daughter, one year old on Jan. 1 who is the light of my life. I own a couple of scrap yards..that's right, scrap metal. You might be thinking, "oh how nice, he's environmentally friendly...a recycler", but no, quite to the contrary, I'm in it for the cash.

Enough for today, chew on that for a bit!
