summer is so close and there is a distinct taste of possibility in the air. so much more is possible in the summer! does anyone else get that feeling? i am so excited. it's like the warmth in the air dissolves the walls of my house and suddenly home is everywhere. everything is safe, comfortable. you don't have to wrap yourself up against the outside, you can just let it all in and hardly wear any clothes. i just relish that freedom. i want to sit on the swing in my backyard, go to the pier every night, go on late night wendy's runs and sit in the forest preserve, go downtown and explore until my feet are dying. i am so excited to drive around at dusk with the windows down, blasting summer music. i am simply a summer creature. i live for this season. i am on the brink of complete happiness for three months. plus... i get to be with the boy! all the time!
