Two posts in as many days? It's a miracle!
It's November 1st. That day when many folks around these parts get to work on their NaNo novels. This is an off year for me (I only do NaNo every other year), but I am hoping/planning to use this month to kick-start my writing again. I have been woefully lax on that front, and I miss it. I still have TWO WIP's that need to be finished. (I've gotten to the point that I cringe whenever I get a review/alert notice - I feel so awful for taking so long! Not too mention that one of them is a GIFT for a very lovely person, and I hate leaving her hanging.) And, I have other ideas floating around in my head that I would like to explore. For whatever reason though, I have had a hell of a time putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys) and getting them down. It's very frustrating.
So, my intention is to try and write a little every day this month. Whether it's just a short fandom drabble, another line on one of my WIP's, some stream of consciousness, or whatever else may come to mind. The point is just to WRITE. Write SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Just need to get back into the habit of it, as I feel quite dull without it.
Will I make it to 50,000 words this month? No. Absolutely not. But I'm hoping to eek out at least 100-1,000 words a day of SOMETHING. So, that's my plan. That's my goal. WRITE. For all that is good and happy, WRITE.
And also, to cheer on my friends who are doing NaNo, of course :-) That said, who's doing it this year?! I'd love to hear from you about what you are going to be working on. TALK TO ME. Please?
