Stuffishness, a bullet point list

• Last weekend I spent in Luray, VA with a whole bunch of folks from the DC area that I haven't seen since before the summer started (one of which was turning 30, and was the reason for the whole get together in the first place :-D). There were S'mores, and a Hot Tub, and Rock Band, and Taboo, and cake at midnight, and a whole lot of limes, and I got to sleep in a bunk bed, and it was awesome. The drive there and back reminded me just how MUCH I like to drive, and makes me want to go on another long road trip sometime soon. No time for that sort of thing, sadly, but it would be nice to do.
  
  
• The Flyers lost last night. Boo. Boucher was not on his game, and I'm thinking that maybe they should give Bob a try in goal again. It was also really, kind of awful to see Gagne on the ice in Philly, and have him wearing a WHITE Jersey. Dude does NOT belong in Florida. *will forever be bitter*
  
  
• I will not get to watch SPN live this week (again) on account of my attempting to be social and meeting up with a girlfriend I haven't seen in a few months. Yay! for socialization, boo! for missing the show. I'm sure I'll catch it this weekend, whenever I have time...
  
  
• My droid broke. The screen stoppend working, and it isn't receiving calls. I feel like I've lost a hand. I keep twitching to pick it up and check my email, but it isn't there, so I can't. The new phone is coming today, and while I am happy that it is arriving so quickly (it just broke yesterday), I'm thinking a detox may be order, as that kind of twitchy feeling is too disconcerting for my tastes.
  
  
• Tomorrow is the Fall Fest run by JWC, so I will be there for four hours. Later, I will get together with a bunch of OTHER girls that I haven't seen in months. It's like Fall shows up, and I put on my socialization hat. Hmm.
  
  
• I've been obsessively listening to the following artists: Florence & the Machine, Metric, Mumford & Sons, Civil Twilight, and Arcade Fire. To an unhealthy degree. They've been feeding my muse. Well, my original fic muse at least. Which is good, as NaNo is coming up. My fanfic muse is on vacation in Tahiti right now, and isn't accepting calls. You should all listen to them as well.
  
  
• Progress is happening with the Daisy troop. SIL and I met to come up with tentative lesson plans for the year, and I went to the GSA service unit meeting this week, which was very informative. We had hoped to have our first meeting next week, but that likely wont happen, as there was a problem with getting word out to the school. Maybe by the beginning of November though. *fingers crossed*
