$100 fill-ups arrive at gas pumps in America I know that when I stopped at the gas station yesterday, for a half-tank, I certainly cringed. At $3.34 a gallon (full-serve only in Jersey), just before the bridge to Philly I was regretting my decision to go for a cheaper monthly car payment and not get a hybrid. The price over the bridge? $3.59.
I really wish that public transport was a viable option for me. But the price for the train (for both Magus and myself), and then a transfer to a trolley (for me), combined with the amount of extra time it would take to get to and from work, does not equate. At least, it hasn't before now. I'm going to have to sit down and figure out at what price per gallon the long road of public transport becomes more affordable, and then hop on that sucker.
I really, REALLY wish that riding a bike to work was an option. As that would solve many an issue.
Of course, this would be the time where if I was certain that we would be staying in Philly for a while, I would suggest we move into the city. However, our long term plans are not yet been solidified in that regard.
