[Look!  Up in the sky!  It's a bird!  It's a rheiard!

It's a bored Arche!

And depending on who you are, people of Luceti, she may be flying above your head, trying to sneak up on you from the skies, or waving at you from her high-up vantage point.  Who wants to come be jealous of one of the few people in Luceti who can actually fly?]

just flying around, nothing to do, bored bored bored

[Arche's thought process right now: Let's fly by the windows of the clinic just because we can!]

[GOOD TIMES because this guy can't help but follow this closely with his eyes. What the hell is this?]

[Oh hey, an audience! Arche stops by his window and dangles upside down from her broom... because she can. She waves at him through the window, grinning like a fool.]

[...Jaffar merely looks at this. Stares, maybe. And doesn't wave :| ]

[Well you are no fun at all mister gloomy. She slides open the window and sticks her head in.] What's got you so grumpy?

NINO TO THE RESCUE innocentemerald July 22 2009, 07:40:34 UTC
[And just as the awkward silence began to shatter, the door opens and a cheerful-looking green haired girl hops in, carrying a plate of food, It's just porridge, but Jaffar IS in the clinic, after all. With a wide smile, she puts the bowl down on the night stand before noticing the pink-haired girl, flying outside.]

I got you food, Jaffar! It may look plain, but it's actually really good! The nice lady let me try it, an-

...

Oh, hi there! Is that a friend, Jaffar? Oh, maybe it's the other way around! [She giggles brightly, and comes up to the both of them. ...Arche, really, mostly.] Hello! My name is Nino, and thank you for coming to visit Jaffar! He got hurt when he first came here, so he's still recovering, so he can be a bit grumpy now! He's not always like this, though! He's really, really nice, and a reaaally good fighter, too! I hope that we can be good friends, and I really appreciate you coming! Are you flying, too? That's so amazing! Only Pegasi and Wyverns could allow people to fly, in Elibe! I have heard of stories with ( ... )

Hooray for Nino! skyborne_mage July 22 2009, 16:26:12 UTC
[She was just about to leave the grumpy guy alone when the most cheerful little girl ever came in. She can't help but grin at Nino.]

Hi Nino, I'm Arche! Yeah I was just out flying around the clinic and I saw Mister Grumpy there (Jaffar, eh?) watching me out the window. I came in to have a talk but I guess he's not the talkative type, eh? I don't think there'll be a problem with being friends, you seem like a really nice girl! Do you like the broom? It's the best way to fly ever, if you ask me.

[Ye gods, somebody stop them.]

NINO IS A SAVIOR taintedruby July 22 2009, 16:30:08 UTC
[...Jaffar listens to this in silence, but all the same when Nino comes in he will silently take something off that tray of food - a muffin of some type - and after taking out a medical knife to cut it into small pieces on the plat he'll start to eat the smaller pieces. Logically, this means that if there is poison it'll never go into his system with a high enough concentration that he won't feel it before it gets to a lethal level.

Not that he would ever assume Nino would poison him, this was merely a habit with baked goods]

[Don't ask why the most cheerful little girl evar is bff with grumpyfae over there, and we'd be ttly good. :|b]

It's nice to meet you, miss Arche!~ Ahaha, yeah, he doesn't talk alot, but it's okay, because he really means well! I think uncle Legault said something about 'morse code' and laughed about it after, but he wouldn't tell me what it meant! [huff] I looked it up after, of course, and apparently it's a language with dots and lines, but I still don't get why it would have been funny... [she crosses her arms, and pouts for a few seconds.]

But yeah! Oh, I'm so glad! Um, I did the cleaning in the Black Fang base a lot, so I'm good at passing the broom... but I never imagined that you could REALLY fly with it! Florina, a really good friend of mine, is a Pegasus Knight! She can fly on her Pegasus, and I'm envious, sometimes! It must be reaaaaally nice, to be able to see everything from so high up! I wish that I could do it too, someday! [She's just being wistful here, though - despite saying that, she seems to be fully aware of the ( ... )

It's great to meet you too Nino! Well, if you say so... oh, I think I get the joke, though. Your uncle must have meant that if he knew morse code Jaffar could tell people things without having to talk. You know, since he clearly hates to open up his mouth and all.

Well you've gotta be pretty good at magic to enchant the broom to fly, and mine won't work for anybody but me, but yeah, you can totally do it if you know how! But you've got a friend who rides a Pegasus? Seriously? Man I only saw one of those things once, and that was awesome. It let a friend of mine ride on it's back so we could take out a whole bunch of flying monsters and a wyvern!

[Jaffar nods at Nino's request there. He's going to keep on eating just like that, looking between the two... but after a time - actually when Arche mentions enchanting brooms, he's going to put a protective arm on Nino. This means that Arche must on par with at least the Blue Crow in terms of prowess. He looks at her wearily after that.

Still, at the mention of flying monsters his eyes seem to widen just a little. Monsters?]

[Blink.] Really? That might be a good idea, but I don't think it's necessary! We understand each other just fine, right Jaffar? [And she'll cheerfully beam at him before turning back to Arche. She doesn't mind the arm at all, and snuggles a bit into it too, actually.]

Is that how magic would work in your world? I'm a mage, too! I can use my Fire and Thunder tomes just fine, but Erk says that I'm supposed to understand what the chant means for it to work, but I can do it without understanding, so he says that I must be good! I'm not sure myself, but I believe him, if he says so! And uh-huh! Huey is really nice, and he lets me pet him! Florina says her two sisters are Pegasus Knights, too!

[Monsters? Oh ff not scared the least. This just gets her even more excited.] Monsters? Oh WOW, really? It all sounds like a really good story! Was that a wild wyvern, then? I've never seen a Wyvern on its own! There are Wyvern riders in Lord Eliwood's army, too!

Well I don't think that matters to the joke... It probably wasn't a very good one anyway. [She shrugs, but can't help but grin at how oddly cute that is.]

Well that's... part of how it works, at least. I've got chants, but I don't have to use tomes to get my spells off, just have to focus and use my mana. That's, um, a special energy we've all got where I come from. But either way if you can use the spells without even understanding the chant's that's pretty impressive! As is riding a Pegasus, your friend must be pretty amazing!

Yeah, it is, I guess. Kind of a long one though. Um... all Wyverns are wild where I come from. No one's ever tried to tame one. They breathe fire and are the size of a house, it'd be suicide.

taintedruby July 23 2009, 05:23:17 UTC
[...As a house? Fire? That sounds more like the mythical tales of dragons, somewhat smaller from what he recalls. Wyverns are more akin to the size of horses, sometimes a little bigger. His grip on Nino gets a little tighter there. Dragons makes him think of Nergal, which makes him think of what danger Nino could be in in theory.

...Still, he looks at her lightly as he takes his next bite. As if to show pride in her abilities as well as to question if she met any of the riders. He doesn't approve of Vaida at all, for one]
