Perfect Two [1]

"Ugh, that girl is so annoying!"

Seohyun sighed as she flipped a page of her book. She didn't even bother to look up to see who was ranting and raving on the other side of the room. She'd grown used to it.

"Ugh, seriously I wanna pull her hair out! Every single piece of it!"

Seohyun closed her book and sat up in bed. She won't be able to do any reading anyway, not with all the ruckus.

"So, who is it?" she said as she took her pillow and hugged it as she sat cross-legged on top of her bed.

Yoona was also hugging her pillow, using it to cover her face as she screamed into it in frustration. She kicked a couple of times into the air and on her bed, clearly mad at something (or someone).

Seohyun bit her lower lip as she tried to suppress a giggle. She couldn't help it, it always cracked her up whenever Yoona was acting out. She found it refreshing, since she herself rarely did it. It just wasn't in her.

Knowing Yoona, this was probably over a boy. It always was. Well, she wasn't really the flirty type, but her feelings tend to develop pretty fast, and almost all the time, she fell in love instantly.

Silence grew from the other end of the room, so Seohyun decided to get back to her book. She'd barely finished one page when Yoona finally spoke up.

"Yah, Seohyun-ah, you know that ShinHye girl from my department?" Yoona asked as she sat up quickly in bed, her hair and blouse disheveled.

Without looking over, Seohyun answered back.

"Yeah, I think so. She played a guy in one of the department's musicals, right? I thought she was pretty good."

Yoona grimaced at her answer.

"Ugh, she was quite good in that one, but only coz I think she used to be a guy," she said, still clearly irritated.

Seohyun almost laughed at the thought, but she felt so guilty of thinking bad about others.

"Hey, stop that. What exactly did she do to you that's making you so angry?" she said, scolding her roommate.

"Well, she didn't do anything to me~" Yoona squirmed, smiling sheepishly back at Seohyun. "I just find it so irritating that she keeps sticking to this guy in class, she's like an octopus!" she cried out, pulling at her hair.

Seohyun sighed. She knew it would be like this.

"I knew this was about a guy," she said, rolling her eyes. She got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. "I'll brush my teeth first. I hope you've calmed down when I'm done," she said.

Yoona jumped out of bed and pulled at her arm. "But it's not really about the guy this time! I'm just really really irritated at her!" she exclaimed, trying to explain herself to her friend.

"Yeah, yeah, of course you are," Seohyun said, trying to appease her.

"No, you're not believing me!" Yoona complained. She pulled Seohyun to sit on her bed. They faced each other, sitting cross-legged.

Yoona sat with her back straight, looking intently into Seohyun's eyes.

"Look here. I know you think I spend too much time thinking about boys," she started to say, slapping Seohyun's arm lightly as she started rolling her eyes again.

"Well alright, maybe i think about boys 50~ no 70~ fine 80% of the time," she conceded when Seohyun finally nodded her head. "But I swear this time, the issue isn't the boy. I just really REALLY don't like the way she acts," she further explained.

"Fine, I believe you," Seohyun finally said.

"Thank you!" Yoona cried out and hugged her.

"So can I please go brush my teeth now?" Seohyun asked after getting out of her friend's tight embrace.

"No! You've got to help me first!" Yoona pleaded, holding onto her.

Seohyun sighed. Sometimes she wished she lived in another dorm. The two of them were just too different. However, she also felt that their personalities complemented each other. There have been times that she wished she could be as outgoing as Yoona, one of the most popular girls on campus. She also belonged to the theater department, and has featured in a lot of plays and musicals. Seohyun was just a nerd in the music department.

She somehow knew one of these days she'd regret being roommates with this girl, but she couldn't help herself. She thrived on their misadventures.

"Hey, you're not making me do something I'd regret later on, are you?!" she said as she drew away from Yoona, looking at her suspiciously.

"No, no, no! I'll just need a little help~ and no~ no one's gonna die!" Yoona explained as she got up to get a pen and some stationery.

"What's that for?" Seohyun asked, getting more curious.

"Thi~is is for a letter; a letter that you're going to write for me," Yoona said, grinning mischievously.

"Aaahhh... No. N-O. NO!" Seohyun proclaimed as she started to stand.

"Please, hear me out first. You've got better handwriting than me," Yoona pleaded, clinging onto her friend's leg.

"Fine, I'm listening," Seohyun sighed. She accepted the pen and paper and started to write down Yoona's words.

"Dear Jung Yonghwa~" Yoona said.

"Who's he?" Seohyun asked as she wrote carefully.

A gasp came out from her friend.

"Oh my gosh, you don't know him?!" Yoona exclaimed, wide-eyed.

"No, that's why I'm asking," Seohyun said, looking at her friend, unblinking.

"OMG, he's the hottest guy on campus! He's a senior, and he's been on almost all the plays presented by the department. He's also a star basketball player and lead singer of CNBLUE."

Yoona stopped to catch her breath.

"CNBLUE?" Seohyun interjected.

Yoona gave out a scream as she was shocked again by her friend's words.

"Seohyun-ah," she cried out, hugging her friend again. "You've gotta join me sometimes, I'll show you how the real world looks like."

"Ehh, stop being so dramatic. You know me," Seohyun said, shrugging off Yoona's theatrics. "So, what's CNBLUE?"

"THAT, is CNBLUE," Yoona said, pointing at a poster above her headboard. Seohyun hadn't noticed it before. Four guys cooly posed with instruments. They gave off a rocker feel.

"Okay, so that's CNBLUE. And which one's this Jung Yonghwa?" she asked, moving to take a closer look.

"This one."

Seohyun took her glasses from her bedside table and perused the poster. Yoona was pointing at the guy in the middle, the one with the huge eyes.

"Hmmm.. He looks alright. So, you like him?" she asked, settling herself back on the bed.

"Ahh, I'm not interested in him. I want you to meet my husband. HIM~" Yoona said, pointing at the other guy holding an electric guitar. He was quite pale, but he looked fine, too.

"Oh my goodness, you really ARE not affected?!" Yoona cried out after seeing Seohyun's bland expression.

The other girl just shook her head. Sighing loudly and shaking her head in disbelief, Yoona just laid down on her bed.

"Fine, just help me with this letter, and then I won't bother you again," she said.

"Okay, so far we've got 'Dear Jung Yonghwa' down," Seohyun piped out, holding the pen up.

"Alright, write this down..."

Dear Jung Yonghwa,

You don't know me, and I don't know you as much as I want to. However, I wish for you to know that you are butter to my jelly, the black to my white~

"Wait, wait this isn't working for me," Yoona said. "I want it to be really romantic. Any suggestions in that intelligent mind of yours?"

"Hmmm... how about 'harmony to my melody' ?" Seohyun said after thinking for a while.

Yoona stared at her in amazement.

"That's just perfect!!! Oh my~ why am I not as cool as you?!" she exclaimed.

"Well, I~"

"Alright, just write that down, then I'll send it to their dorm. Man, I can't wait to see them in class tomorrow!" Yoona said excitedly.

And so the letter went like this:

Dear Jung Yonghwa,

You don't know me, and I don't know you as much as I want to. However, I wish for you to know that you are the harmony to my melody~ I'd love to get to know you in person.

Looking forward to our meeting at last.

Sincerely,

Your Secret Admirer

Seohyun looked at her friend after making sure of spelling and grammar. Yoona rolled her eyes at her, then took the letter and folded it into an envelope.

"How exactly is that letter going to help you and your frustrating situation?" Seohyun asked.

"Trust me, girl... This will be awesome! Thanks sweetie!"

Yoona jumped off the bed, hugged and kissed her friend, then ran out of the room.

Seohyun could only shake her head.
