CRITICISM vs. NICK PICKING
That is it. I can bear it, NO MORE!
Ok, so I have an account on deviantart, and I post pictures up there regularly. Most hardly get a look in, but it doesn't mean they're not good. To point it out, I am STILL LEARNING.
But that's not the annoying part!
I've been doing fanart for my favourite couple at the moment, but there is one little miss NICK PICKER who seems to know everything about art. That is until you check her gallery and realize she is rubbish!
So I recently posted a new picture of the couple that I am really happy with, oh but no! Do you know what's wrong with it? The EYE COLOURS ARE THE WRONG WAY ROUND.
No they're not.
ONE of the character's eye colour is just a bit dark. That is all.
Then do you know what she said?

Now I have only ever done what I want to draw, unless I am taking requests. I draw what I WANT TO DRAW not what other's want me to draw, unless in the circumstances of REQUESTS.
So I know what you're saying, "But that WAS constructive criticism!"
No constrctive would be saying something like "It's JUST A SUGGESTION, but you could add a bit more shading to the suit to make it bolder" NOT:
'i have to be nit-picky and point out you've got their eye colours the wrong way round!'
It seems the only thing she was happy with were the hands...Wow.
On another piece she said:
' think your style really suits him, though I think Christian could do with being slightly less angular in the face.'
That's the whole point, IT'S MY STYLE!! I'M NOT TRYING TOO HARD TO MAKE THEM LOOK REALISTIC!!
I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO SEE YOU DO BETTER!
GAH!
ALSO SHE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO SPELL PROPERLY!
