My weariness amazes me

Yesterday and today totally kicked this girls ass. I went to class yesterday, which was fine despite the campus parking lot being an overcrowded zoo of a kazillion new students who had no clue. I am really glad I am no longer among those ranks, and I gave directions to classrooms to about five different lost souls. Class was good...I think digital art will indeed be a fun class, and that I will learn a lot. The professor seems pretty cool and she has a great reputation at the school, so I'm in. Committed in.

Then, the trouble began. I went to the commission thinking that I would only be there for a few hours at the most. Well I was there from 2pm to 9:30pm last night. And although the site is up, it needs a lot more work. I had a problem with my original template and had to make a totally new one on the spot. Ugh. When I got home last night I was pretty wasted. And overwhelmed to know that I still have to go back on Friday to finish and clean it up. I did bring it home on a thumb drive just in case I get some "free" time to do some adjustments between now and then.

Today was the first day of my new schedule at work. I was supposed to work 7 hours, but decided to stay for an extra hour to take advantage of the end of the day quiet of the office and get some stuff done. Plus, with the weather forcasting a snow storm (yes, another one!) Wednesday night into Thursday morning, it is likely that work will be closed, so I needed to maximize the time I had there. I am still not caught up from vacation and we are swamped with new consumers. I was running around today like a chicken with my head cut off today. But, I did get some things accomplished which was happy making.

Still, when I got home at 4 I felt as if I'd been run over by a truck. And I still have stuff to do to prepare for my school day tomorrow. It may snow and some of my classes could be canceled, but as you know, you can never really depend on the weatherman. And as I wrote in an email to Serena, how pathetic am I to be wishing for a snow day the first week of the semester? Ugh. I could definitely get behind a snow day on Thursday with no work, too. I know, I'm sad.

We are waiting for Chinese to be delivered. I was going to make curry tonight, but I am simply played and needed to not make dinner tonight. So, Chris, bless him, called up the Happy Garden people and placed an order. YAY!

In happier news, these came in the mail today:

I will be casting molds from them at some point, although they are quite large and will require greater quantities of rubber and resin. Still, they are way cool and they make me happy.

Going to eat now....

school, art, life, creativity
