thoughts before...sleeping.
Mom and I finally watched 'You Don't Know Jack'...about Jack Kavorkian tonight. I think HBO did a wonderful job with it.
Physician Assisted Suicide is still controversial, but not anywhere near as it was when Dr. Kavorian began. He brought the issue to the National Stage, perhaps not in the correct way, but the fact that he engaged us to think about it at all in my opinion was a very brave thing to do.
And if I were ever suffering so much and the quality of my life was diminished to nothing, in sound mind, etc, etc...this is a decision that I would want to be able to make for myself, with the support of my family and friends. AND the support of my physician.
Thats all. Now I need sleep. Tomorrow's agenda is lengthy enough to require a list! :)
PS Why on earth is the "contemplative" emoticon so sad looking? Contemplation is not always a sad activity! At least not for me.
