[Tsuna is very mindful of Gokudera behind him, and moves slowly down the steps as well. Fortunately, at the bottom of the stairs there's a small glint that catches the brunette's eye.]
There it is!
[He walks over to pick it up, and hears a voice in the not so far off distance.]
[Someone is approaching, and Tsuna pulls on his mittens after snatching up the ring. A small light starts flickering above, as if they're in a sinister dark alley. Tsuna swallows hard, and reaches for his bottle of dying will pills. Before Tsuna can answer, another voice says.]
What are you doing back from your mission so soon, Storm Guardian?
[Tsuna's eyes are wide, but Gokudera can't see them. Or the fact that there are now two Tsunas, albeit one is slightly older.]
[Gokudera moves closer to where he knows Tsuna is, clutching dynamite in his hand. His eyes flicker around blindly, and he's about to speak when he's interrupted.]
[The slightly older Gokudera that's come into view has a gun in his hand. He cocks it, and the Gokudera standing by the stairs flinches as though he's been struck.]
[Older Gokudera looks at his boss quietly for a moment. His eyes are expressionless. Dead.
Without speaking, he raises the gun and fires. The bullet hits older Tsuna between the eyes, spraying his younger counterpart behind him with blood and chunks of skull and brain matter.]
Juudaime!
[The younger Gokudera drops his dynamite and reaches blindly for Tsuna.]
[Tsuna cries out, but his voice is masked by the echo of the gunshot.
The splay of blood and bits of brain hits Tsuna. There's a streak of red splattered across his cheek. He wants to heave. But all he can do is stare at older Gokudera who didn't hesitate to kill him. One shot.
Can't breathe. Tsuna starts hyperventilating and shaking.
Gokudera's hand graces Tsuna's arm, but he can't stop staring. That's his body. On the ground. Because he was ordering Gokudera to kill Lambo and I-pin.]
[Gokudera grabs Tsuna's arm, maybe a little too tightly, and he pulls at him, backing toward the stairs.]
Please, Juudaime, let's go. Please.
[His voice shakes, and he's barely holding back tears and vomit, but he has to get them out of here right now because he doesn't want to see any more even though he can't see anyway.]
[Gokudera stumbles his way back out of the hole, dragging Tsuna with him. He isn't ready for the stairs to end when they do and he stumbles to his hands and knees in the dirt and starts to throw up.
He stays on all fours on the ground for some time, dry heaving and shaking, before he's able to straighten up some. He wipes at his mouth and then at the tears streaming down his face, turning to look blindly for Tsuna.]
He stumbles a little at the bottom of the steps, not prepared for them to end.]

Kill them. I don't need useless subordinates.

Juudaime?
[That voice is familiar though, and it sets him on edge.]

I'm won't kill Lambo, Juudaime.

You don't have a choice. What. You're going to doubt my judgment, right hand?

Your judgment is wrong this time.

Juudaime...let's go. Now.

They failed me. Both him and the Chinese brat. You have to set an example for the rest of the family.
[Older Tsuna smirked.]
What are you doing with that gun, Storm Guardian?

Juudaime, please.... [He doesn't want to know what happens next. They needed to get out of there right the fuck now.]
Whatever I have to.

[There might be tears. Older Tusna chuckles.]
You wouldn't. You're the most loyal dog in this family.

Gokudera's voice can't reach him right now.
He's somehow walking up the stairs though. And still looking back. Still crying.]
I can't...
I-I would....I wouldn't...

Gokudera-kun....
[Shaking his head doesn't stop the tears from coming.]
I-I'd never...I wouldn't...
[The smell of vomit makes him nauseous and he dry heaves, coughing and trying to catch his breath.]
