Hola from Spain! I found an internet cafe and thought I would say hi to everyone.
Things are okay here. I´m kinda overwhelmed by the strangeness of everything. And the time change is a bitch. The food isn´t very good and the girls I´m with are typical State girls. I went out with them last night and I have a feeling everyone thought we were hookers.
I get stared at a lot, even though there are Spanish blondes around (lthough not many). It makes me pretty uncomfortable, but hopefully I´ll either start to blend in, or get used to it.
I have a cell phone! But unless you want to be charged around $4 a minute, I wouldn´t recommend calling it. I can recieve text messages for free, although it costs me 1 euro everytime, which is a lot. I would LOVE to get any, if you ´re bored and feel like reaching out to a homesick gringa. The country code for Spain is 01134 and then my cell is 667-151-320. I´m not exactly sure how it works, but I´m sure it´s not too hard.
I am surprisingly homesick. I think it´s because things are so different and because I don´t like the people I´m with. I´m working on getting over it, don´t worry.
