My New Figurine Part 2

May 01, 2006 05:40

Few days ago, my brother acquired the blue Saber for me which got me in such a frenzy. Saber is Love!

Now, upon my request again, he has once again returned with another set of figurines that I pleaded with him to help me get. This latest figurines are the Tenjho Tenge ( translated from 天上天下) main girls which are featured in both the manga as well as the anime. I had been following this series since it was first released and I only managed to collect up to manga book 6 before I had to come to Melbourne for my studies. Ah well, at least I got them in plastic now. And at a discount no less. Life's good.

Aya Natsume (棗 亜夜 ) - Aya is Maya's younger sister and she possesses the Dragon Eye, or Crystal Eye, ability, which allows her to see into the past and the future, as well as communicating with inanimate objects.

This is the Bome edition which was released apart from the original version. The difference is in the colouring of the figurine.

Maya Natsume (棗 真夜) - Maya is the busty 17 year-old leader of the Juken Club. She can control her chi by shrinking herself to the appearance of an 8 year-old. Has a previous relationship with a gifted martial artist called Mitsuomi but has now sworn revenge on him for the death of her older brother Shin.

Back view of the box which shows the distinct difference between both editions. Hair colour of both is different and while the original version sticks to the standard black dressing of Maya, Bome's edition sports more vibrant colours such as the red jacket and the white pants that is accentuated with a picture of a dragon encircling the length of the pants. It is this design that prompted me to buy the Bome edition over the original edition.

Hey, I ain't complaining. The Bome edition cost SGD$100 for the pair while the original version cost $150 for the pair too. That's a whole SGD$50 difference. Furthermore, the store wide sale at La Tendo enabled me to get it at 20% off the selling price. That means I got both for SGD$80. it's all good. ^^V

Anyway, my brother did help me place my blue Saber atop my shelf together with my 1/6 scaled Tidus and Yuna.

What can I say. It's good having a close bond with your younger brother. Lmao.
