That would be so strange to have that much daylight. I actually like night time and I would miss it if it were gone. Now do you have total night time at other times of the year? And how long does this 20 hours of sunlight last?
With White Nights (that's what they call the 24 hours of sun), it's a gradual process. The days just start getting longer and longer until it's always sunny. Then, the days start getting shorter and shorter until about mid July when things seem normal again. You don't notice so much until you just wake up and it's sunny, but then you arn't sleepy until late--but the sun is still out there

That was an offer...but she's leaving it on the table.
Her decision was to go with me for a 3 week vacation and then decide if she wants to stay or not. BUT...doing things her way means that legally (the way I try to do things), she will have to return to Russia until at which time she can find some method to return to me there. (This method will cost a minimum of $2000 more; something we can afford now, when we don't have to do things this way, but we might not be able to later if I'm going to be a student again.
Anyway, we'll see how things go. We both hate visa issues, and this one is a rough process.
Of course, I can finish any new degrees pretty quicky...and if certain politics ruins the country, think left-wing, I may be willing to just return here. I already know where to work and could make pretty good money with the new opportunites I'll have.

In January it gets dark at about 4 pm, but we never really lose light...just dreary rainy or snowy for most of the year.
We get darkness back here at the end of June.
But I'll be in America before then.
