Well, I generally avoid all things Apple.
I avoid iPods even more so because they are mainstream, popular, and missing functions that I find useful.
However...podcasts are not a Macintosh invention and are simply a file transmitted through an RSS feed.
Enough with that...I decided to see what I could find and whether it was useful stuff.
I found something better...Escape Pod.
It's just your run of the mill podcast with an intro and then a scifi story read out in it's entirety. Even better, they pay the writers for these stories. [Which can give one an idea of what the paying market expects and views as good material.]
I have had to catch up on their casts...mostly starting from the beginning of the year...but it's good stuff.
Oh...they have a site too:
www.escapepod.org
Their worth checking out if you like scifi. They did have fantasy too...but it will be moving to a new and separate podcast as they did with their horror stories.
Of course, if you prefer cartoons...and still like a little horror...check this out!!
www.happytreefriends.com
I showed the newest two episodes there to my girlfriend...just before I take her to Six Flags over Texas!
Ha!! [And yes...she says it's ужасный but hey, she is glued to the TV/TB anytime it comes on...so she likes it. And insists that it's not for children!]
