MIL's ETD
Well, it came through the grapevine (my girlfriend's sister's boyfriend) that the MIL and SIL's apartment will be finished somewhere around January 21st.
To me, this is a joke. It's an estimated date for finalizing construction....an unreal number. It's a window on a schedule not to be religiously lived by....they don't understand that.
My girlfriend literally 'whoopee'ed. "I can't wait!" she said afterward.
There was some shock...so she turned it into a joke.
I'm sure it's difficult as the family moderator...but she doesn't actually do ANY moderating for me. I'm not treated any differently than before--except when I act out and get a little respect for a day.
Still...that's a completion date.
Then they'll have to remodel a little and then paint or paper, etc.
(They aren't even allowing for the foundation to fully settle, etc. They should, as this is a converted swamp.)
