Title: Broken
Pairing: Kangin/Leeteuk
Prompt: Broken - Seether ft Amy Lee (Drabble #10)
Rated PG
A/N: This is a continuation of a drabble I did for a challenge found Here
Summary: I wanted you to know that I love the way you laugh, I wanna hold you high and steal your pain. Cause I'm broken when I'm open and I don't feel I am strong enough.

He felt a little piece of himself die right then. He didn't care that he was in the middle of a shoot for a show, or that he was only on a fifteen minute break. He ran out of the building as fast as he could, ignoring the calls from his director and co-star as he fled the building and jumped into the first taxi he could see.

He was bouncing in his seat, knuckles turning white as he gripped his cell phone harder in case there was anymore news. It seemed as if it were a dream when Siwon called him.

"Teukie-hyung is in the emergency room. He lost a lot of blood, we're scared."

When he got there Donghae was crying. He spotted Kangin and ran over to him, enveloping him in his arms. Ever since the death of his father, Donghae had been sensitive at the prospect of losing someone else. Kangin gripped him hard, wanting to cry himself but he knew that he had to be strong.

"Has anything happened?"

"Teukie is in the emergency room. They're doing all they can, but they say that because he was unconscious by the time they him into the room they don't know if it was the blood lose or if he might have had some other trauma."

A loud sob escaped Donghae as he clutched himself closer to Kangin. Kangin felt his throat clog with emotion and cleared his throat softly.

"What about the others?"

"Shindong and Eunhyuk are getting checked up, but the doctors say that there's nothing serious. Kyuhyun is in the operating room; they think that he may have shattered his hip and maybe crushed one or two ribs. Right now Sungmin is there with Heechul and Hankyung waiting for the doctor to come out and give a report."

He felt the tear trail slowly down his cheek and Siwon went forward and joined their hug. The doors to the hospital opened again and Kibum, Yesung, and Ryeowook ran in and strait to the three in the waiting room.

"We got here as fast as we could. Has there been any reports?"

As Siwon spoke a doctor came out of the emergency room. They all ran to him, Donghae blanching back into Kangin's arms as he saw the blood on the doctor's gloves.

"Are you guys the family of Park Jungsu?"

Kangin stepped forward and nodded. "Is he going to be okay?"

The doctor sighed and wiped at the sweat on his forehead with the back of his sleeve.

"He lost a lot of blood, but thanks to the blood contributions of your friends we were able to stop the blood coming out and with the blood implants re-input most of what was lost. However, we had to put in a lot of stitches because of the amount of open wounds caused by all the glass. Right now he's still unconscious because of the morphine, so we don't know if he's had any mental trauma."

"Thank you so much doctor. When will we be able to see him?"

"Right now we're finishing stitching him up. When he gets settled into his room you'll be able to visit."

They bowed to each other and Kangin turned to Siwon.

"You guys gave him blood implants?"

Siwon smiled at Kangin and pointed to man that was still hiding his tears in his shirt. Donghae looked up at Kangin and stuck his arm out showing a band aid in the crease of his elbow.

"Sungmin, Hankyung, and Heechul gave blood too. I'm B, so I couldn't."

Kangin clapped Siwon on the shoulder and gave him a small smile.

"It's okay Siwon, it's not your fault. Now, lets go and see how Kyuhyun is doing."

The six band members started  heading down a different corridor labeled "Operating Rooms". They stopped in front of the only room that had the "IN USE" sign lit up. Sungmin was being held in Heechul's lap while Hankyung was sitting next to them with his arms around both of them. Siwon tapped the Chinese man's shoulder slightly, making him look up.

"Has there been any reports?"

"He has a fractured hip and a couple of broken ribs. They're just setting the ribs because if they stayed like that his lung might have collapsed."

This news brought a particularly loud sob out of Sungmin and Heechul tightened his arms around the smaller boy and mumbled soothingly into his ear. Kibum took a seat next to Hankyung and put his arm around his hyung. Donghae took the seat on the other side of Kibum. Ryeowook slid down the wall he was resting on and brought his arms around his knees, resting his head on his forearms. Yesung slid down on his right and hugged him while he cried. Siwon went to where Heechul was still hugging Sungmin and hugged both of them. Kangin was still standing in the middle of the corridor in shock before wiping some of the tears that managed to escape his eye. He then cleared his throat and went to Heechul, the oldest member in attendance.

"Heechul, I'm going to go see how Teukie's fairing. He should be in his room by now. If something happens call me okay?"

Heechul looked up with red rimmed eyes and nodded solemnly at Kangin. Kangin took a deep breath and turned on his heel, walking back to the waiting area.

---

Kangin opened the door slowly. The fluorescent lights were blinding as he stepped in but the sight in the room made his blood run cold. Teukie was laying chest down because of the sheer amount of stitches on his back. Kangin walked forward slowly and sunk down onto the chair by the bed. He felt the tears stinging the back of his eyes but made no efforts to hold them back now that he was alone.

He reached forward and fixed Leeteuk's bangs so that they weren't in his eyes and took hold of his hand. There were stitches adorning his face, his neck, and there was endless silver on his back from the staples. Kangin kissed the back of his hand and allowed himself to break down.

"Teukie, Teukie you have to wake up okay? You have to be okay."

He was half expecting Teukie to wake up at that moment, like they did in movies and dramas, and tell him that he would be okay. But Teukie kept sleeping peacefully and Kangin kept crying.

---

Sadly the next day they all had to go back to schedules. It seemed they were all a little lost in the dorms without their missing members. Sungmin had to sleep in Ryeowook and Yesung's room because he couldn't go into the room he shared with Kyuhyun without crying. Donghae seemed lost at the breakfast table because the spot next to him would usually be occupied by Eunhyuk. He just pushed around his now soggy cereal without eating anything. Heechul went to their dorm to raid their fridge pulling Hankyung with him like always, but this time he was quiet. Usually he would break into a song from a Korean girl band, this week's victim was Gee, but without Shindong there to dance with him it seemed pointless. However, no one was taking it worse than Kangin.

Kangin had wanted to stay with Teukie in the hospital, he couldn't just leave him there by himself, but his manager insisted that he get back to the dorm because he still had to wrap up the shooting he missed today. So he had kissed the back of Teukie's hand and quietly left the room. Although as he sat at the table, the members realized that making him come home did nothing to help. He had bags a deep shade of purple under his eyes, his eyes bloodshot to the highest degree, his movements deterred as if it were difficult to walk. He gulped down a glass of orange juice and found that it was really all he could eat.

"Hyung, are we going back to the hospital today?"

"Yeah, I'm going to head over there as soon as I'm done. I only have drama and radio today."

Ryeowook nodded and went back to making his omelet.

---

Kangin sighed as he entered the hospital rubbing his neck. The director was less than happy when he returned to the set then he explained what had happened. All the members of the staff had then been bombarding him with questions he didn't really believe was their business. He was still grumbling when he opened the door leading to Leeteuk's room. He walked in to see Teukie sitting up in bed, the spoonful of pudding suspended on its way to his mouth as he looked at the door. Kangin rushed forward and brought Teukie into his arms, not caring that he probably just got chocolate pudding on his Calvin Klein shirt.

Teukie dropped the spoon and hugged him back just as eagerly, his sharp fingers digging into Kangin's back. Kangin didn't mind the pain stinging pain and focused on the being in his arms. He promised that when he got home he would go pray with Siwon, he was so grateful that Teukie was okay.

They finally pulled apart, but Kangin still held Teukie's hands as he sat on the edge of the bed. The hospital food was forgotten as Teukie talked rapidly.

"...And I didn't know what happened, Kangin...the car suddenly flipped...I was scarred when I saw them getting Kyuhyun out...all the glass Kangin...I thought I had lost my vision...I thought I was going to die..."

Kangin just listened to the older boy rambling, not caring that he was exhausted, that he hadn't eaten, or that he needed to sleep because tomorrow he had a full schedule. All he cared about was the fact that Teukie was there, breathing, eyes wide with emotion, their hands intertwined.

---

The week was hectic, everyone running around with various jobs all week. Eunhyuk and Shindong came home after four days at the hospital saying they were fine, but they weren't allowed to do any activities because of the insistence of the other members. Hence, the rest of the nine members were scrambling around, everyone doubling their work loads to cover for the four members that couldn't participate.

Kangin in particular had the worst work load. He swore that when Teukie was back he wouldn't let him work like this anymore. He had to organize everyone's schedules, make sure the bills were paid, write up the budgets for their expenses, MC for three different shows, go on two variety shows, and on top of that he still had to do all of his own activities: his drama, more radio, and more variety shows.

Still, it was worth it when he went to the hospital at two in the morning and told all his woes to Teukie. Teukie, in turn, would scoot over on his cot and hold Kangin until he finished his rants.

---

Kangin helped carry the bags as the manager helped Teukie get to the car that awaited them. Today Teukie was discharged from the hospital and Kangin was giddy with delight as he closed the trunk of the car. That was, until he saw the unadulterated horror that was etched into Leeteuk's very being. When it looked like the leader would start to hyperventilate he rushed into the car and sat next to him in the back seat.

"Teukie. Teukie. Park Jungsu."

That finally made the leader snap out of his daze and Kangin gathered him in his arms. He rocked him softly as he felt the older boy shivering.

"What if we get into an accident Youngwoon? What if this car flips over too?"

Kangin kissed his forehead softly before wrapping his arms tighter around the leader.

"Nothing's going to happen Teukie. Don't worry, I'm here."

Teukie nodded but still dug his face into Kangin's neck when the car started forward. Kangin's only reaction was to pick Leeteuk up slightly so that he was sitting sideways on his lap, face still buried into his neck but now completely surrounded by Kangin's warmth.

---

It had now been a month since the accident and things were starting to regain an air of normality. This week everyone had been ecstatic because the doctors had called saying that Kyuhyun's physical therapy had paid through and he was now able to walk by himself. So it had come to a shock to walk into his room and find the leader in front of the mirror on his knees crying.

He rushed forward and pulled Leeteuk up, quickly scanning his body for injuries, bones popping out weirdly, or any puncture wounds. Hell, he even moved his hair from the place where it covered his neck to make sure that he hadn't burned his neck with the straightener. Once he was satisfied that he was okay he brought the leader to their bed and hugged him. He knew from experience not to try to talk to Leeteuk while he was crying, you had to wait until he stopped or nothing would make any sense. Once he stopped Kangin pulled him away slightly and lifting his chin so that the red rimmed eyes met his.

"Teukie, what's wrong?"

"Kangin, how can you stay with me when I look so hideous?"

Kangin moved his thumb to wipe the tear that was now trailing down Leeteuk's cheek before leaning forward and capturing his lips in a chaste kiss.

"You're the best looking person I know Teukie, what makes you say you're hideous?"

Teukie grabbed hold of one of Kangin's hands and brought it to trail the line of stitches that could still be felt above his eyebrows and down his neck, disappearing into his shirt.

"I look like a monster."

Kangin took away his hand and pulled Teukie's face to his, smashing their lips together. Leeteuk kissed him fervently while Kangin placed his hands on the leader's hips. Kangin knew that the leader had been self-conscience. He always asked the make up noonas to pay attention so that his scars wouldn't show, his bangs also covering the area just in case. He would come out of the bathroom with a towel around his shoulders and waist so the stitches on his back couldn't be seen. He never walked around without a shirt anymore like they all used to when the weather got too unbearable.

Kangin's hands slowly pushed his way up Leeteuk's shirt as the leader still kissed him hungrily. His rough fingers traced the bottom of the trail of stitches before Leeteuk pulled away from him. Kangin pulled him closely before his hands went to the bottom of his shirt again. He kissed Teukie softly before he pulled his shirt off him. He kissed the leader's lips once more before kissing the first stitch on his forehead. He felt Teukie about to pull away again so he pulled him even closer so that now the leader was sitting on his lap.

"You're not a monster Jungsu."

He kissed the trail of stitches while Leeteuk hands clenched almost painfully on his biceps. He stopped at the last one that ended on his neck and sucked on it lightly making a soft gasp escape the leader. Leeteuk then resumed kissing him while Kangin's calloused fingers lightly traced the path of stitches down Leeteuk's back.

There are no words to explain the happiness in the vans as they make their way back home after their celebration for their third year as Super Junior. They had cried backstage remembering all the hardships they had to go through just to get there. Heechul and Yesung had even given Siwon permission to do a prayer with the group, and even though they weren't of the same religion they still held hands with the rest. They thanks the lord for their health, for letting them overcome all the diversities that had risen against them, for allowing Kyuhyun and Leeteuk a quick recovery when things could have been much worse.

And Kangin had to send one more prayer up to the deity as he held a sleeping Leeteuk in his arms at four in the morning for allowing him, just a nobody really, to lead this life that was so utterly perfect in every way. He finished his small prayer and kissed Teukie's temple before drifting to sleep as well.
