A Year and Ticking...
So Denton is pretty badass. My classes are cool and they intermix. My Sociological Theory class (which is on classic Theory, mostly Comte, Durkheim, and Marx) covers alot of my Social Research and Intro to Logic. My Social Research has been covering the classics and Intro to Logic is just fun. English sucks, but I guess that is never going to change. My schedule is pretty cool. One class at 1 PM on Monday and Wednesday. Three classes starting at 9:30 on Tuesday, four on Thursday and I'm off on Fridays.
I am the captain of my dorm's Ultimate Frisbee team, The Legends Hall Coral Reefers. And we play our one and only tournament Sunday. But I think I'll go out for the real Ultimate team, which on the school's expense gets sent to places like Vegas to play Ultimate. During the winter season they play disc golf.
My dorm is even pretty cool. I have my own bedroom, cable and internet are paid for. I'm surrounded on all but one side by the girls swim team. I really never see my roommate, but it's not like we don't get along. He's just a frat guy who sticks to himself. I'm usually blaring records when Im home, so it works out. I can crank my record player up and the only person who can hear it is my roommate, when he's home. But it turns out he doesn't mind the mix of Jazz and Fusion that I usually play.
I came home this weekend for Gaelen's birthday only to discover that my father bought me a laptop. So the internet isn't a world that is so, so far away anymore.
Carino's is pretty much the same game but different ballpark. The people there keep to themselves more then at the other. I'm sure I come off as a quite, strange person who whistles a lot.
Denton keeps me busy, but for the most part, I'm having a ball.
