hi yall. sorry for not updating for a while.
lycée news. i didnt end up actually going until friday. and i was nervous... for no reason. the people were SOOOOOOOO cool. i had a free for second period, and i thought because i didnt know anyone, i would just sit down and listen to music and be lonely. i go outside, and sit on the bench, and about ten frenchies surround me. yes, it was cool. i had fun. i was probably the happiest that day that i had been the whole trip. i just wasnt happy at the collège. unfortunately, they put me into "première," which is the equivalent of junior year. its way hard. i wouldnt even be a junior in the states. so today (monday) they re-put me into seconde, which is more like sophomore year. i wasnt too happy about this, because all my friends that i had made friday wouldnt be in my classes. but tahts ok, cause now i just have more. :-) the french are so much nicer and friendlier. very easy to make friends here. and im taking economics. yes, its dorky to get excited over it, but i am, so LET ME HAVE MY RAINBOW!
i saw went to grillon yesterday... to see dibble... AND LAURA!!!!! i was soooooooo happy to see my sister whom i hadnt seen since june yesterday. shes doing fine: still her dry, sarcastic, evil, lovable self. dibble is good. its kinda scary how bad his accent is...
anyway, just updating to say that lycée was a success. theres so much freedom (at the lycée, not the collège). i had two frees today. the first, we went to a pizza place to play foosball (and for some people to smoke, icl). youll all be happy to know that this american won both his foosball matches. the second free, we walked into the town of Orange to get "le chewing-gum." lovin' it.
if you care a helluva lot, email me for details.
Peace and Happiness to all,
-Jack
P.S. Sorry to anyone i wasted time and email space to whining about the lycée switch. totally not worth it.
