What's the earliest memory you can recall? Often I get a sense of familiarity from scents or words as if i'm trying to conjure a memory long forgotten and no doubt meaningless. I was the first child so my parents went over the top in taking photos and video taping me using a shabby beta max camera. This makes knowing if my memory is a memory or just pulled from a photograph a difficult thing.
One of my first memories comes from when I was 5. It was the end of the summer and I was at my best friend Nicole's house. We had all just gotten word of who our kindergarten teachers would be; Mine was Miss Whit. Nicole's sister Kristy told me that Miss Whit was a mean teacher and that she sometimes beat students. I remember being terrified to go to school. I actually have a lot of memories from when I was 4-5 years old hanging out with Nicole. I think that's when I began developing my personality and figuring out who I was and what I was in to. Lately i've been getting a lot of flashbacks. Makes me wonder if i'm trying to remember anything important.
So.. lot has happened. I need to start writing again before I lapse any further into craziness. Anyone still around?
