Just kinda want to rec something here

So as some of you may have been aware this last week on the BBC a drama showing the lives of the "5 daughters" who were murdered at the end of 2006 by Steve Wright in Ipswich, Suffolk was aired. And I just think (I'm speaking really to fellow Brits who'll remember the case) that it's a drama worth watching. I went in to it interested in the crime as I always do when it comes to topics like this, but came out so much more gripped and touched of the story of the 5 victims, which the BBC rightly portrayed in a touching sensitive way. And tbh I could not stop myself crying over it.

I've never done hard drugs, I've never been a prostitute - but I've hit hard desperate times before and I felt like I could relate so much. IDK something has just struck me about the lives of these girls and I feel their story needs to be known. They weren't just "slags on the street" they had lives, loved ones they were good people and they need to be remembered like that.

IDK I just think it's a drama that should be watched as crucial viewing. I've only felt this way about a drama since the 1978 mini series Holocaust (starring James Woods and Mery Streep) in which may not deal with happy great subject matter, but it's important. It's important to learn so we can look at ourselves, our situations not take what we have for granted and above all learn from what has happened in the past so we can avoid other such tragedies happening on such a scale again.

That's all really. :/
