Back from work and feeling much better, although shit at work continues to go down. Luckily, the shit at work doesn't involve me except in an indirect way, so I manage to stay emotionally uninvolved, which is a good thing. Work keeps me distracted, and sometimes happy. I *almost* got to mop the grooming room today. I only had a half-hour left to do it in, though, which meant that I couldn't devote the right amount of attention to it. I WILL mop that fucking place. It's gross, and A. doesn't fucking clean anything (hence the shit going down). IT WILL BE MOPPED. Yes, I am my mother's daughter.

N. and C. are gloriously fun to have lunch with. Today involved talking about books. Books and video games are two topics the three of us never tired of. It's nice. I loaned N. "Banewreaker" by Jacqueline Carey. She enjoyed the "Black Sun Rising" trilogy by C.S. Freidman, so I thought she'd like it. She read the back of the book and got all excited.

I have my paycheck, and will attempt to get it in the bank tomorrow. I'm setting most of it aside, and trying to use as little as possible so I can save some of it.

So far, no third overdraft fee, so my savings account is back as it was. I'll move the money back over once my check goes through.

My brother is...acting mature. It's strange...he drove my car today and only moved the seat back some. No smoking, laying the seat down, or putting rap on my radio. He even apologized for the mud his girlfriend tracked in. Then he gave me twenty bucks for letting them use it, and driving him to town to grab some gas to put in their own car. And taking care of his cat. And he bought some Dr. Pepper. This is...different. I did have to force him to take his cat back, though. Now I'm back down to only fiscally responsible for Catmeat and the cat food, with my mother fiscally responsible for the other four (sans catfood).

I've found that if I keep my speed down to sixty instead of seventy when driving to work, I can squeeze an extra twenty to fifty miles out of a tank of gas. This enables me to put off buying a tank of gas by another day. It only adds two to three minutes to my drive time, at most. I enjoy driving anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

The Random Folk are making subtle moving-out motions. Rumor has it they've been given two weeks.

That's pretty much it for now. Figured I'd give kind of a heads-up after this morning's shit.

Now I need to be walked.

head shit, stuff
